Blood Drive is a raw, touch-sensitive medium-gain overdrive for players who like to shape their drive with pick attack and the guitar’s volume knob rather than a separate gain control.
Its response is immediate and expressive. Dig in for more bite and aggression, or roll back the guitar’s volume to clean it up smoothly without switching the pedal off.
Blood Drive has no separate gain control. Its gain character is built into the circuit, while the two controls keep operation straightforward.
RAGE — OUTPUT VOLUME
Sets the pedal’s output level and determines how hard it pushes the next stage of your rig.
THIRST — TONE
Shapes the tonal balance. Depending on the setting, pickups and amplifier, Blood Drive can move from darker and fuller to more cutting and forward.
The transistor bias is set internally, keeping the pedal face focused on output and tone.
Blood Drive is best suited for players who want:
• A raw medium-gain overdrive
• Touch-sensitive response to pick attack
• Smooth cleanup from the guitar’s volume control
• A simple two-control layout
• A tone range that can move from dark and full to cutting and forward
It may not be the right fit if you want a separate gain control, heavy distortion or a heavily compressed drive response.
CURRENT ENCLOSURE VERSION
The Blood Drive units currently available use the original enclosure design. Future production will move to a revised look after the remaining original enclosures are sold.
The planned change is visual. The pedals currently available deliver the Blood Drive circuit and playing experience described above.
King’s Road is a light-gain overdrive built around edge-of-breakup tones, guitar-volume cleanup, and gain stacking.
Its drive character stays relatively open and restrained rather than heavily compressed or dramatically reshaped by EQ. Use it as a main low-gain drive, leave it on to add edge and texture, or stack it with another gain pedal when you want more saturation without losing the basic character of the guitar and amplifier.
King’s Road responds smoothly to the guitar’s volume control. Roll the guitar back for a cleaner, more restrained sound, then turn it up to bring the drive back without touching the pedal.
VOLUME
Sets the pedal’s output level and determines how hard it pushes the amplifier or next pedal.
GAIN
Controls the amount of overdrive, from subtle edge and texture through a fuller light-gain drive.
TONE
Adjusts the overall tonal balance from darker to brighter.
King’s Road is best suited for players who want:
• Light-gain overdrive
• Edge-of-breakup tones
• Smooth guitar-volume cleanup
• Gain stacking
• A relatively restrained EQ character
• A drive that works with the sound of the guitar and amplifier rather than replacing it
It may not be the right fit if you want heavy distortion, near-fuzz saturation, or a strongly compressed drive response.
UXO is a raw, touch-sensitive aggressive medium-gain overdrive designed to serve as the primary drive voice in your rig.
Its external Fuse control adjusts the transistor bias, moving the pedal from lighter, more open overdrive toward a denser, rougher and more saturated response. At higher Fuse settings, UXO approaches fuzz territory without becoming sputtery or gated.
Even at its more saturated settings, UXO cleans up smoothly from the guitar’s volume control. Dig in or turn the guitar up for the full drive response, then roll the volume back for a cleaner, more restrained sound.
UXO’s three controls provide a broad but straightforward range:
GAIN — OUTPUT VOLUME
Despite its label, Gain controls the pedal’s output level rather than the amount of distortion. Turn it clockwise to increase volume and push the amplifier or next pedal harder.
FUSE — TRANSISTOR BIAS
Turn Fuse counterclockwise for a lighter, cleaner and more open drive response.
Turn it clockwise for denser saturation, a rougher edge and a sound that approaches fuzz territory without collapsing into sputter or gated breakup.
TONE — DARK TO BRIGHT
Turn Tone counterclockwise for a darker sound and clockwise for a brighter response.
UXO is best suited for players who want:
• A raw, aggressive medium-gain overdrive
• A primary drive voice rather than a simple boost
• Touch-sensitive response to pick attack
• Smooth cleanup from the guitar’s volume control
• External control over transistor bias
• A range from lighter overdrive to dense, near-fuzz saturation
It may not be the right fit if you want a smooth, heavily compressed drive, a conventional gain knob that simply adds more distortion, or sputtery and gated voltage-starved sounds.
CONSTRUCTION
Each UXO is hand assembled by Pendletone Effects using through-hole components on a professionally manufactured printed circuit board.
Every pedal is individually tested before shipping, then dated, serialized and signed inside the enclosure.
